FAQ
General
What is Memoo?
Memoo is a full-stack memecoin platform on Solana. You can launch tokens, trade on the bonding curve, discover new projects through MemooGecko, earn from fee sharing, build a creator reputation, and get rewarded for calling tokens early as a yapper — all in one place.
What wallet do I need?
You need a Solana wallet to use Memoo. Supported wallets include Phantom, Backpack, Solflare, and Jupiter. Memoo never takes custody of your funds — all transactions happen directly from your wallet.
What is a ticker?
A ticker is a short symbol used to identify a token. For example, SOL for Solana, BTC for Bitcoin. When launching on Memoo, you'll set a unique ticker for your token (max 8 characters).
What is a bonding curve and how does it work?
A bonding curve is a pricing mechanism where the token price increases automatically as more people buy. Early buyers get in at a lower price. When the curve reaches 100% of its raise target, the token graduates and migrates to Raydium for open trading. No order book, no market maker — the curve handles everything automatically.
Launching
How much does it cost to launch a token?
Launching on Memoo is free — there are no platform fees. You only pay the Solana network fee of approximately 0.02 SOL for account validation. Additional SOL is only needed if you want to make an initial buy at launch.
Can I change my token details after launch?
No. Token data including name, ticker, image, and description cannot be changed after creation. The contract is renounced at launch, making the metadata immutable. Make sure everything is correct before clicking Create Token.
What image formats are supported?
File types: .jpg, .png, .gif
Max file size: 15MB
Recommended resolution: min 1000x1000px, 1:1 aspect ratio
What are the bonding curve raise targets?
When launching, you choose how much SOL your token will raise on the bonding curve: 38 SOL, 76 SOL, or 114 SOL. Once the target is hit, the token graduates automatically and migrates to Raydium.
What happens at graduation?
When your token's bonding curve hits 100%, liquidity is automatically deposited into Raydium and all LP tokens are burned. This makes liquidity permanent — it cannot be removed. Trading then continues on Raydium.
What happens if my token never graduates?
If your token's bonding curve doesn't reach 100%, it stays on the bonding curve indefinitely. There is no expiry. Traders can still buy and sell it, but it won't migrate to Raydium and won't trigger the Creator Bonus or fee sharing rewards.
What is the Community Airdrop?
When creating a token, creators can enable a Community Airdrop which reserves 0.5% of the total supply for early supporters. Participants complete two simple tasks to qualify. If the creator leaves it inactive, the 0.5% is burned at launch.
What is the initial buy and why would I use it?
When creating your token, you can optionally buy a portion of the supply at launch. This sets the token onchain immediately and gives it initial liquidity. It also signals confidence to early traders. It is optional but recommended.
Can the developer rug?
The developer cannot remove liquidity — it is permanently locked and burned at graduation. However, if the developer holds a large number of tokens, they can sell them, causing a sharp price drop. Always check the Creator column on MemooGecko to see whether the creator is still holding.
Trading
How do I buy a token?
Go to the LaunchPad or MemooGecko, find a token, and click through to its trading page. Enter the amount of SOL you want to spend and click Trade. Confirm the transaction in your wallet.
How do I sell a token?
On the token page, switch to the Sell tab. Enter the amount or use the percentage shortcuts (25% / 50% / 75% / 100%). Click Trade and confirm in your wallet.
What happens after a token graduates?
Once a token graduates, trading moves from the bonding curve to Raydium. The token is also listed on MemooGecko where you can track it with full market data, audit info, and social activity.
Can I adjust slippage?
Yes. On the token trading page, you can adjust your slippage tolerance before confirming a trade. Higher slippage increases the chance your transaction goes through during volatile periods but may result in a worse price.
Why did my transaction fail?
Common reasons include insufficient SOL for gas fees, slippage set too low during high volatility, or network congestion. Make sure you have enough SOL to cover both the trade and gas fees, and try increasing your slippage tolerance if trades are failing.
Fees & Rewards
What are the trading fees on Memoo?
A 1.75% fee applies to every trade during the bonding curve phase. A 1% swap fee applies to every trade on Raydium after graduation. Both fees are redistributed to creators, bonding curve buyers, stakers, and the protocol.
Who earns from fee sharing?
Fee sharing is reserved for token creators and bonding curve buyers — users who bought the token during the bonding curve phase. Buying on Raydium after migration does not qualify you for fee sharing.
What is the Creator Bonus?
Every token that successfully graduates rewards its creator with 0.5% of the total token supply. This is separate from fee sharing and claimable 3 days after migration from Portfolio → Creator Bonus.
Where do I claim my rewards?
All rewards are claimable from your Portfolio. Fee rewards are under the Fee Rewards tab. Airdrop rewards are under Tokens → Airdrop. Creator Bonus is under Tokens → Creator Bonus. Yapper Rewards are under Yapper Rewards.
Yapper Rewards
What are Yapper Rewards?
Every 14-day cycle, the Top 100 yappers share 0.5% of the total supply of all tokens that graduated on Memoo that cycle. Points are earned by being among the first 30 to tweet about a token, weighted by follower count.
How do I register as a yapper?
Go to Portfolio → Yapper Rewards, connect your wallet, link your X account, and click Register Now. You need at least 1,000 followers on X to be eligible.
What counts as a qualifying tweet?
Any tweet that mentions the token's cashtag ($TICKER) or official X account (@TwitterID) from an account with at least 1,000 followers qualifies. Accounts under 1,000 followers are excluded entirely.
What if I tweet about a token but it never graduates?
Your Yap Points are still counted. However, rewards are only distributed from tokens that graduate. If a token never graduates, no rewards are triggered from that token.
When can I claim Yapper Rewards?
The cycle snapshot is taken on day 15. The leaderboard updates on day 16. Rewards are claimable from day 17.
MooPoints
What are MooPoints?
MooPoints is Memoo's rewards program. You earn points by trading, launching, graduating tokens, completing quests, engaging with Raids, and referring users. Points determine your share of the weekly distribution pool.
When are MooPoints distributed?
A fixed pool of MooPoints is distributed every Wednesday after snapshot. Points may take up to 24 hours to reflect.
Do MooPoints have monetary value?
No. MooPoints are part of a promotional rewards system and hold no monetary value. They do not represent any token or asset and do not guarantee future airdrops or rewards.
What is a Raid?
Raids are posts from Memoo's X account that you can engage with to earn bonus MooPoints. New Raids are added regularly. Check the Raids tab in the MooPoints section to see what's currently active.
How does referral work?
Refer users to Memoo and earn a share of their activity points. Your referee also earns a bonus on their own points. Referral rewards activate after the referee crosses a minimum activity threshold of 25 points. The more active referrals you bring, the bigger the milestone bonuses.
Reputation & Quality Score
What are Creator Rankings?
Memoo tracks every creator's history across launches. Your rank is determined by tokens created and tokens with a Memoo Score of 70 or above. Higher ranks unlock MooPoints multipliers and increase your visibility on MemooGecko.
What are the creator rank tiers?
There are 7 tiers in order: Meme Rookie, Meme Maker, Meme Degen, Meme Titan, Meme Legend, Meme Supastar, and Meme God. Each tier requires a higher combination of tokens created and tokens with a Memoo Score of 70 or above.
Can I lose my rank?
Rank progression is based on cumulative performance. Your rank reflects your track record across all launches and does not decrease based on recent inactivity.
What is the Memoo Score?
Every token on Memoo receives a score out of 100 based on social activity, market cap, holder distribution, and yap power. It updates automatically and gives traders a quick way to assess token quality. Always DYOR.
Security
Is Memoo safe to use?
Memoo never takes custody of user funds. All transactions are executed directly from your wallet via smart contracts. LP tokens are burned at graduation, making liquidity permanent. Always verify contract addresses and use the Token Audit data on MemooGecko before trading.
Is Memoo audited?
Memoo's bonding curve contracts are built on the Raydium Launchlab SDK. A formal smart contract audit is in progress and findings will be shared with the community when complete. In the meantime, all tokens on Memoo are subject to the Token Audit checks visible on MemooGecko, and LP tokens are permanently burned at graduation.
What does the Token Audit show?
The Token Audit on MemooGecko checks four things: Top 10 Holder concentration, Mint authority status, Blacklist status, and whether LP tokens are burned. Use it as a quick safety check before buying.
